Hogwarts Rules

School uniforms will be worn to class, and worn properly.

Hogsmeade is for third years and up with permission only. Which means orphans can't go, sorry.

The forbidden forest is still forbidden and the whomping willow still whomps, get it?

Roleplay Rules

You must create a fully developed character.
Developed characters are good, and easier to play. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask.

Role play is to be done in story format.
Do not use any type of device (I.e. * , :: , -)  to show that your character is doing an action.
Write in complete sentences with paragraphs, proper grammar, and proper spelling. Story Format is most easily described as if you were writing a book.

Role play is to be done in third person.
You are not to use any of the pronouns: I, we, us, me, etc.,  unless your character is speaking or thinking.

Role play is to be done in past tense.
Do not role play in future or present tense. You are to role play as if it had already happened.

You are not to God-Mode [play others' characters]
When you post do not write the other person's actions for them. Most people do not like it when other people play their character's responses.

Characters are not to be all powerful.
Your characters must have some sort of weakness or fault. No one is perfect. People get sick, have bad days, and *gasp* get hit with spells.

There is to be no mind reading.
This is not something naturally occuring, no one can read minds. You must go through years of learning. [And admin approval.]

Do not do one or two sentence posts.
While we do want quality over quantity, it is hard to come back to a really short post and not feel dissappointed. They are also hard to reply to. Try to aim for at least two full paragraphs per post.

As of right now, you can not have more than one character.
We want to build up a good solid member base before we allow multiple accounts.

Special Abilities and Magical Items must be applied for.
If everyone had them, they wouldn't be special now would they? Guidelines on applying will come as the site progresses.

General Rules

After registration, please change your display name to your character's name. You need a first and last name.

Remember the Golden Rule: treat others as you wish to be treated.

Mild swearing is allowed, don't abuse this.

Nothing overly sexual or mature. Seriously.

No spamming! This also includes double posting unless you have a good reason.

Flaming will not be tolerated.

Please don't join this board unless you are going to be active. I.e. create a character, and participate in the RPG. Inactive accounts will be purged.

Advertising is only to be done in here only.

Remember that the admins reserve the right to change/add/delete rules as they see fit.

Anna is a 23 year old compluter junkie who loves roleplaying Harry Potter. She isn't near perfect, so please don't fault her for her short-comings. She will however go out of her way to help just about anyone out. She does have a temper, but it takes a long time to see it flare. She is interested in reading, writing, drawing, painting, threatre and anything else to do with the arts. She also like programming and making websites. Though admittedly she isn't that good.
